The first foal by outstanding triple Group 1 winner Advertise has been born at Luca and Sara Cumani’s Fittocks Stud in Newmarket.

The colt was born in the early hours of Tuesday morning and is the first foal out of Galileo mare Volcanique.

Volcanique, a recent purchase at the Tattersalls December Mares sales for 130,000gns by Fittocks Stud, is a three-part sister to the multiple Group placed and Royal Ascot winning Highland Chief. Her dam Pink Symphony also boasts an impressive race record, winning the Group 3 Give Thanks Stakes and placing multiple times at Stakes level, as well as being a half-sister to multiple Group Three winning and Group One placed Fantasia.

Sara Cumani said of the foal: “We are delighted with our colt! This is our first foal of the year, the mare’s first foal and Advertise’s first foal as well! He weighed 52kg and is a lovely bay colt with a stripe down his face. He is strong, attractive and well put together, and we couldn’t have hoped for any more. If all Advertise’s foals look like this he is a stallion to be excited about. We purchased the mare in December as it is a family we have had a lot of luck with and thought Advertise was an exciting cover.”

Tim Lane, Managing Director of the National Stud said “We are delighted that the first foal by Advertise has been born at Fittocks Stud. He has received a glowing report form Mrs. Cumani and we are very excited. He covered a book of exceptional quality last year and this years’ book is shaping up to be very similar.”
