The first foal by Gr.1 Prix de la Foret scorer Aclaim has been born. Foaled at Trinity Park Stud, the colt is the first foal out of the twice-raced Falco mare M’As Tu Vu, who was recently purchased for €20,000 by Dermot Farrington at Arqana.

The mare is a half-sister to the Gr.3 Prix Daphnis third Saint Thomas (Dansili), the Italian Listed placed Steady As A Rock (Rock Of Gibraltar) and the French Listed-placed Marie Vision (Entrepreneur), dam of the Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club and Gr.1 Irish Champion Stakes winner The Grey Gatsby, who stands at Haras du Petit Tellier last year.

Trained by Martyn Meade, the son of Acclamation proved to be the most popular first-season sire in the UK last year when covering 160 mares and stands this year at a fee of £9,500 Oct 1st SLF. A winner on his sole start at two, he is out of a Stakes placed Danroad half-sister to the dual Gr.1 winner Again and extends to a family which includes Montjeu and Galileo Gold. He won four times at three, including the Gr.2 Challenge Stakes. At four, he claimed victory in the Gr.2 Park Stakes at Doncaster before winning at the highest level in the Gr.1 Prix de la Foret over 7 furlongs.
