The stud offers a variety of short courses including the stud secretaries’ course, first aid training and the transport qualification.

Emergency First Aid at Work Course
In association with TJ Training

The one day emergency first aid course held at the National Stud is an HSE approved, practical and relevant training course. The course consists of current first aid techniques using modern training equipment and encompasses practical lessons in bandaging, recovery position and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills.

Three Day First Aid at Work Course
The three day course is run when sufficient enquiries to fill a course are taken. 
 
The course consists of the most current First Aid Techniques using modern training equipment. The course is delivered TJ Training and encompasses practical lessons in bandaging, recovery position and cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills. In line with the HSE First Aid at Work Regulations all students are assessed on day three by independent assessors.

Basic Safe Tractor Handling Courses
In association with Eastern Training Alliance

This one day course is aimed at stud staff that use tractors in their normal activities. The course will enable them to safely manoeuvre tractors and trailers for the purpose of daily yard duties. Designed for those who are new to machinery handling and enables delegates an opportunity to learn and practice under close supervision in a safe environment.
