Emergency First Aid at Work Course

The one day emergency first aid course held at the National Stud is an HSE approved, practical and relevant training course. The course consists of current first aid techniques using modern training equipment and encompasses practical lessons in bandaging, recovery position and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills.

Course overview:
Institution of Occupational Safety & Health certified. Founded in 1945, the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) is the chartered body for health and safety professionals.
 
The four day course, delivered by Tony Payne, is designed to get managers and supervisors up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams. The course will give delegates the knowledge and tools to tackle the health and safety issues they are responsible for. Tony delivers tailored and bespoke training for the racing and breeding industries as well as advising studs and racing yards on the intricacies of health, safety and welfare provision.

Understanding your responsibilities
Indentifying hazards
Investigating accidents and incidents
Measuring performance
Protecting the environment
 
The course involves completion of a project based on their workplace and an end-test. Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
