PLEASE NOTE:
The National Stud will re-take EVA and EIA blood tests 14 days after the arrival of your mare.  Depending on the country of origin, the mare will also require further Clitoral Swabs to be taken before the mare can be covered.

Mares arriving from abroad will undergo 2 weeks isolation while the new blood tests are taken and the results established.  The vets will not undertake any reproductive work on your mare during this time so please make sure you send your mare early in the season to compensate for this 2 week delay.

Foreign Mares “walking in” to National Stud stallions:

Please refer to the 2011 Breeding Requirements from the NSFA for details of full swab and blood tests required for foreign mares walking in to National Stud stallions.

All "WALKING-IN" studs/ mare owners are required to notify the National Stud of scan results 16 days from last service.
