Toronado's first foals impressing breeders

Toronado's first foals are on the ground and breeders are already enthusiastic about what's to come from this young sire.  A bay filly out of Suite (Invincible Spirit x Rakiza) was the first of Toronado's foals on the ground, and she has already been joined by several other including:

Red Intrigue (Selkirk x Red Affair) Bay Filly born 26/01/16

Red Intrigue’s first foal RIFLESCOPE won the Dragon Stakes last year and was rated 101 as a 2yo, her Dark Angel yearling was purchased by David Redvers and China Horse Club for 180,000gns at Tattersalls last October and her grand dam is a ½ sister to Rainbow Quest.  Breeder Jeremy Gompertz said: “I am delighted with her. She has a most attractive head and markings. The pros tell me she has great strength and is a lovely individual.  If she is a typical Toronado, I will certainly want to use him again.”

Candicans (Dansili x Imbabala) Bay Colt born 25/01/16 (main photo)

Candicans is a full sister to Gr.1 French Derby winner Zambezi Sun and ½ sister to Gr.2 winner Kalabar. Al Shaqab Stud Manager Benoit Jeffroy said: “He is a very attractive foal, we’re thrilled. He is the splitting image of his sire”

Isabel Louis (Distorted Humor x Molasses) Bay Colt 23/01/16

Isabel Louis is a ½ sister to Gr.3 Prix d’Hedouville winner Magadan by High Chaparral, her dam Molasses is a ½ sister to Gr.1 Oaks winner Light Shift and Gr.1 Gold Cup winner Shiva.
