Stud Artist to launch Newmarket Project

National Stud Artist in Residence, Chris Winch is in the process of launching a new community art project in Newmarket to co-inside with the Olympics and summer racing in the town.  Called Flaming July, the project will involve animated equine watercolours (like the one pictured above) by Chris being projected on to buildings and being shown from TV monitors in shop windows in the High Street.

Chris explains: "If you went up the high street it would look as if horses were running by the side of you but in different media and on different sponsored backgrounds. It will tie in nicely with the Olympic torch coming through so hence Flaming July!"

The project has been supported by Newmarket Town Council and Chris and his collaborators will be seeking local support both from the public and local retailers.
