Flaming July Update - Artist In Residence

THE Flaming July art project master minded by National Stud Artist in Residence Chris Winch is taking shape.

The digital media project which projects animated watercolour images of a galloping horse is set to light up the High Street, Racecourse and other public areas to celebrate July Cup Festival and of course the Olympic Tourch Relay as it passes through Newmarket on July 7th.  This is also the date of the Newmarket Carnival and will certainly add to the atmosphere.

We showed an early edition of the watercolours to be used by Chris in a news article on 11th April.  As you will see from the image above, considerable progress has been made and we look forward to showing you the final animation on our Face Book page http://facebook.com/nationalstud
