Auld Burns lands big win at Craven Meeting

AULD BURNS, a three year old son of Pastoral Pursuits won with style and grit at the Newmarket Craven meeting yesterday (14/04/11) on good to firm ground.  On his seasonal debut he brought home just under £140,000 for his owner P A Byrne and trainer Richard Hannon in the £250,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Trophy (class 2).  AULD BURNS made an impressive run through the race to come from near last to first.  He sold for 160,000gns as a yearing at Tattersalls Bk 1.
