National Stud newcomers Aclaim and Time Test are off to a strong start in their stud careers, with both exciting new additions to the roster having their first mares scanned in foal this week.
M’as Tu Vu, boarding at Snailwell Stud, was the first for Group 1 Prix de la Forêt winner Aclaim, and is a half-sister to Marie Vision the dam of Champion 3yo colt The Grey Gatsby, from the family of G1 winners Maximova, Septieme Ciel, Rivieria, Macoumba and the leading US sire Malibu Moon.
Dual Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 placed Time Test was off the mark with Gliding, a daughter of G1 Prix de l’Abbaye winner Gilt Edge Girl from the family of Arcano; followed quickly by another positive result with Annies Couture, a half-sister to G3 and Listed winner Lady Pimpernel.
Dermot Farrington part owner of Aclaim commented, ‘the response we’ve received to Aclaim from breeders throughout the UK, Ireland and France has been fantastic, and there are some lovely mares booked into him this season. He’s covering well and has settled into his new life at the National stud like a professional.’
Tim Lane said of the new recruits, ‘To have them both off the mark with such well-bred mares is fantastic. With Time Test we couldn’t have hoped for a better list of breeding right supporters, and to be involved with the team behind Aclaim is fantastic. We are still waiting on the first of Spill The Beans’ mares being scanned, but the great thing there is that we already know he is incredibly fertile. It’s a very exciting time for The National Stud.’
Aclaim, the top class son of Acclamation who also won both the Group 2 Challenge and Park stakes stands at a fee of £12,500 Oct 1st SLF.
Time Test, Royal Ascot track record breaking son of Dubawi, stands at a fee of £8,500 Oct 1st SLF.
