25 Years at The National Stud for Accounts whizz!

Lynn Clarke, The National Stud’s Finance Manager celebrates 25 years of fun filled accounting today!

Lynn was born in Ely and now lives in the Fen village of Isleham with her husband Michael and two sons Jonathan and Richard.  She began work for The National Stud on 4th August 1987 and has seen the Chairmanships of Chris Collins, Sir John Sparrow, Peter Player, Nicholas Jones, Andrew Parrish and Christopher Spence pass and is currently lending her expertise to our current Chairman Ben Sangster.

Things have changed a great deal during Lynn’s time at the Stud:
“When I came to the Stud, the accounts function was located at the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) in London.  The accounts were then maintained in manual ledgers and my first task was to transfer the management of them to The National Stud and to computerize them.”

Brian O’Rourke commented:
“Lynn has played a pivotal role in the recent success of the Stud and has been a constant source of support and knowledge through all of its transitions.  We very much appreciate all of Lynn’s hard work!”

Congratulations Lynn - we hope that your second 25 years with us will be as enjoyable as the first!!
