The National Stud’s Foaling Unit of twenty-four boxes is manned 24 hrs a day, and the use of CCTV and a specialist foaling team ensures that we provide the best post natal care for mares and new-born foals possible.
We are happy to take foaling mares 4 - 6 weeks before their due date.
All foaling mares must be vaccinated against EHV 1-4 in their 5th, 7th and 9th month of pregnancy; otherwise, they cannot be accepted for foaling at The National Stud.
