Singaporean delegation to visit National Stud
A delegation of politicians from Singapore, who were visiting
South East Cambridgeshire on Friday [16th June], included
The National Stud, in Newmarket, on their itinerary.
The group of five MPs were accompanied by Jim Paice, MP, Chairman of the UK-Singapore Parliamentary Group. He said "I wanted to give our visitors a flavour of the constituency and thought there was no better way to do that than by visiting the National Stud in Newmarket".
Andrew Parrish, Chairman of The National Stud, was delighted to give them a tour of the premises, including the Foaling and Stallion Units. "They seemed very interested in the activities of the Stud" he commented "and pleased to have an opportunity to see our resident stallions, including Bahamian Bounty and Pastoral Pursuits".
After leaving The National Stud, the group sampled a local pub lunch at the Dykes End Inn at Reach and then visited Wicken Fen Nature Reserve.
